Tar shampoo

Developed for: skin with moderate or excessive sebum secretion, prone to dandruff, psoriasis, itching, inflammation.
Key ingredients: plant-based foaming agents, birch tar, plant-derived salicylic acid, wheat proteins, nettle, sage, conditioning plant-based emollients, tea tree oil, lavender, rosemary, chelator.
Action: gently cleanses the scalp of impurities; possesses anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and sebum-regulating properties (without overdrying the hair cuticle); soothes, reduces itching, restores and maintains the natural balance of the scalp; neutralizes the negative effects of mineral impurities in water, helping the scalp and hair maintain balance and comfort.

• Plant-based foaming agents – delicately and effectively cleanse skin sebum, impurities, supporting the natural hydrolipid barrier and pH balance.

• Infusion of nettle and sage – support sebum regulation, exert toning, antioxidant effects.

• Birch tar – natural antiseptic, has pronounced anti-inflammatory and restorative properties, reduces manifestations of scalp microbiome imbalance, decreases itching, manifestations of seborrhea, inflammation, dandruff, psoriasis. Natural tar is characterized by a pronounced woody, resinous aroma, which is one of the external signs of its natural origin.

• Plant salicylic acid from willow bark – natural source of salicylates, keratolytic, promotes epidermis renewal, regulates processes of excessive keratinization, sebum production, helps maintain cleanliness, balance of follicular openings, and optimal conditions for healthy scalp functioning.

• Wheat proteins – contain amino acids similar to keratin, the main building material of hair, which helps increase elasticity, uniformity, and shine. Have pronounced supporting and protective action, retain moisture, reduce electrostatic charge, prevent hair breakage and dryness, making it soft and manageable.

• Conditioning plant-based softeners – help maintain the integrity of the scalp’s lipid barrier, protect the density of the hair fiber, give softness and elasticity.

• Tea tree oil – reduces bacterial load, itching, irritation, maintains skin balance.

• Rosemary oil – improves scalp microcirculation, stimulates renewal, balances sebum production, exerts antiseptic effect.

• Lavender oil – softens, contributes to reducing skin irritation.

• Lactic and citric acid – maintain a physiologically optimal pH level and help reduce the roughness of the hair cuticle layer.

• Plant chelator – phytic acid from rice, helps bind metal ions and mineral impurities present in tap water, including calcium, magnesium, copper, iron. This helps maintain cleansing system efficiency, reduces mineral deposit buildup on hair surface, and helps prevent “matteness,” dullness, hair stiffness, preserving natural softness, shine, and comfortable condition of the scalp and hair.

How to use tar shampoo:

• Comb hair. Thoroughly wet with room temperature water.
• Distribute a small amount of shampoo between the palms and lather.
• If necessary, to increase foaming, add water to the palms while lathering.
• Apply shampoo to the scalp using massaging movements. Massage with fingertips.
• Rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water. Repeat the procedure once more.
• During the first wash, sebum and dirt are dissolved, with minimal foaming. During the second wash, a dense, creamy foam appears and proper cleansing takes place.
• To maintain softness and smoothness of the hair, use the shampoo together with conditioner, masks.
• For maximum effect, hair needs to “adapt” to natural care. Soothe and restore the scalp after exposure to products containing sulfates, silicones, etc. It is recommended to perform exfoliating cleansing of the scalp to remove buildup of film-forming products so that natural ingredients can act directly – scalp scrub and, in case of weakened condition, include in the routine – rosemary lotion, strengthening serum.
